Join us at Qld Parliament House with our friends at Lock The Gate to speak up against the State Development Bill.

This new far-reaching Bill would allow the Queensland Government to fast track developments, including coal and gas, by skipping critical assessments within Planning and environmental approvals processes and overriding community consultation processes.

Speak up to protect Queensland

Thousands of Queensland farmers, Traditional Owners, conservation groups, nature-lovers, and concerned citizens have made submissions against this Bill. Now we need to make our voices heard on the day of the public hearing.

We desperately need stronger laws to protect Qld's incredible landscapes and threatened plants and wildlife, but instead our current state government is further eroding those protections.

The government says the Bill supports investment in critical minerals projects, but a closer look shows it would reach far beyond this and grant extensive new powers to the Coordinator-General.

If made into law, this Bill would have significant impacts on conservationists, landholders, and others who seek to protect their land and local ecosystems from development.
