Protect Beautiful Queensland
Queenslanders love nature. We love our unique endangered species like koalas, cassowaries and greater gliders along with the forests and bushlands they call home.
But Queensland's nature is disappearing. Our forests are falling silent. Native habitat is being logged and bulldozed, leaving wildlife homeless or worse.
It's time to act. We need our leaders to take strong action to protect our natural heritage for future generations.
Email David Crisafulli now to demand strong action to increase our protected areas, like national parks and nature refuges.
We know Queenslanders love our national parks. It's no surprise that polls show 77% want more national parks, and 71% support doubling national parks by 2030.
But sadly Queensland currently has the smallest protected area estate of any state or territory in Australia, at just 8.4% of our land area.
We need to turn that around. We're calling on the Crisafulli Government to commit to doubling protected areas by 2030, bringing the total land under protection to 17%.
Together we can protect our stunning Queensland rainforests and bushland, from the Daintree to the Outback, for our native wildlife and future generations.
