There has been a lot happening in recent months. Updates and changes to plans and laws with big implications for conservation across South East Qld.
This includes the koala conservation strategy, an update to the SEQ Regional Plan, and law reforms around development, to name a few...
We are still in an important period of influence for many of these changes, and next year we head into Local Government and State elections.
Sometimes it can feel really huge and complex, as we all fight for positive change in our own orgs and local areas. But together we can offer solidarity, we can be more powerful, strategic and win bigger!
So join this half day workshop to look at how we come together on SEQ land clearing, poor urban development and wildlife protection issues to look at:
- what are our shared issues?
- what are the most powerful changes we could get that help change the system?
- how can we organise and work together for a greater impact!
This is particularly focused on conservation and community orgs in the Greater Brisbane region (Ipswich, Redlands, Brisbane, Moreton, Logan) but we welcome others from across SEQ.
It follows on from a shorter, online catch up on 25th October.
