Join us at 9am on Friday 15 November for a crucial protest outside the Federal Government's public inquiry into nuclear generation at the Hotel Grand Chancellor in Brisbane. We will meet at 9am for a briefing across the road, then cross over to gather in front of the hotel around 9.15am as participants come for the inquiry that will begin at 9.30am.
We're standing strong to show the Federal Government that Queenslanders are against nuclear false promises and the push for nuclear.
We know that nuclear power isn't clean or quick – it's costly, dangerous, and a massive diversion from renewable solutions that are ready now to protect our future.
The push to bring nuclear energy to the table will stall genuine climate action, jeopardising the urgent transition we need, and prolong climate pollution by keeping coal plants running longer than planned.
Let's unite to protect our planet and our communities! We need to reduce pollution NOW to protect our firefighters, our farmers and our food supply from extreme weather like droughts, fires, storms and floods.
