🐨🦉 Come and join us at the Woogaroo Catchment Fair! 🦉🐨
The Woogaroo Catchment Fair is being hosted by the Save Woogaroo Forest Group, who have been campaigning hard for the forest's protection from creeping development, because of its importance to the local community and to threatened iconic species, such as koalas, powerful owls, gliders, platypuses, and tusked frogs. There will be a live wildlife display, kids' activities, expert talks and environment and community group stalls, including ours!
We would love for you to come and help us spread the word at our stall about the Protect Beautiful Queensland (PBQ) campaign! Sharpen up your conversation skills, whilst joining other nature lovers to build awareness and support for doubling the amount of protected areas in Queensland by 2030 for us all to enjoy and explore, and for our beautiful native species, like koalas, greater gliders and glossy black-cockatoos to thrive in!
If you are new to this kind of thing, no worries! We will show you the ropes and there will be staff and/or other experienced volunteers there at all times. It's easy and fun! We'll also be handing out some cool freebies, like stickers, tote bags and even t-shirts as a reward for those who engage with our campaign.
