Since the Qld Government released their Energy Roadmap in October last year they have approved new gas fields the size of Singapore, called in more batteries, repealed renewable energy targets and overseen another unexpected failure at a coal fired power station.
It’s clear that the Government wants the Energy Roadmap to be a front for expanding coal and gas at the expense of communities, and that it’s not going to get us the better renewables we’ve been fighting for.
This plan is also completely incompatible with Queensland's goal of 75% emissions reduction by 2035.
That’s why we have an important role to play in helping our communities and councils call for better renewables, and keeping the Government accountable to their climate target.
Join our webinar where we break how we can keep fighting with our councils and communities to get better renewables.
At the webinar we'll cover:
✅ What the State Government has done since releasing the Energy Roadmap in October 2025
✅ How development assessment processes for renewable energy have changed
✅ Progress on Federal reforms and campaign work to build better renewable energy
✅ What Queenslanders can do next to keep energy and climate on the political agenda
