Tree Planting with Moggill Creek Catchment Group

Date and time: Sunday 21stApril, 8.30am to 11.00am

Location: Parklands behind Brompton Close, Brookfield 4069 (about 600m upstream from the Branton St. footbridge)

Event Details: Tree planting (we plan to plant over 300 native trees and shrubs in an area previously dominated by large Chinese elm weed trees. The weed trees have been removed and chipped to provide mulch and the area has been prepared for us by Brisbane City Council (Habitat Brisbane).

Volunteers should wear old clothes, covered shoes (essential), a sun hat and bring their own gardening gloves. We will provide hand tools, sunblock, insect repellent and a morning tea following the event. All are welcome, but if you are coming, please contact event organiser Jim Pope ([email protected]) to confirm numbers for catering purposes and so that I can notify you of any cancellation or postponement in the event of bad weather.
