Over 1000 Qld species are threatened with extinction. We need to ensure our incredible wildlife, plants, and their habitat can recover and thrive.

Will you come?

This year's Threatened Species Day is particularly important to give a voice to our incredible unique animals, plants and places we love so much across Queensland. With a state election just around the corner it is important to make those voices heard, join us outside parliament house on the last sitting week before the state election.

We are bringing the bush back to the city! Join us for a fun and creative action, using the power of theatre and creativity we are celebrating and our incredible wildlife and highlighting what we risk of losing forever.

Come dressed as your favourite threatened species or use large photos and art to express your love for our unique species, a giant Greater Glider puppet will be leading the show and Professor Hugh Possingham and Uncle Paul Spearim will be addressing the crowd.

We know the best way to ensure our incredible landscapes and wildlife are protected is through strong laws and permanent habitat protection. We need all sides of politics to protect nature by committing to:

  • No new species extinctions.
  • Doubling Queensland’s protected areas by 2030.
  • Creating strong nature laws that end deforestation and protect critical habitat for threatened species including Koalas in SEQ.

Will you join us to Stand Up For Nature?
