The draft SEQ Regional Plan is out and the clock is ticking down.

We have until the 20 September to get our submissions into the formal process, and only till the end of this year to try and convince political decision makers that they must protect precious habitat across this critical region from urban sprawl and terrible developments.

Join us for an online workshop

Tuesday 12th September

  • What it means for your region
  • How to make a great submission
  • Taking action in our communities

The Need for Better Regional Planning

Our beautiful biodiversity is one of the main reasons people move to South East Queensland, seeking a high-quality life among the stunning natural landscapes. However, without a better regional plan, we risk losing this priceless treasure.

Currently, our iconic species like koalas, quolls, and greater gliders are facing the threat of extinction due to habitat destruction. The continuous loss of native forests puts immense pressure on their survival. To reverse this trend, we must act now and protect the habitats they call home.

Who is this for?

This workshop is ideal for anyone connected with local community groups, conservation groups, animal care, or local resident groups etc.

We also welcome individuals who care about these issues and want to learn more or take action. You can also join the QCC team working to protect the habitat of SEQ.

Co-hosted with Sunshine Coast Environment Council (SCEC), Gold Coast Environment Council (GECKO), and Darling Downs Environment Council (DDEC)

Will you come?
