Queensland Museum: end fossil fuel sponsorships
Shell has contributed more than $10 million to Queensland Museum since 2015, and a new report shows this funding has influenced educational materials used in classrooms across the state. These resources leave out fossil fuels as the primary causes of climate change, promote Shell's brand, and frame fossil fuel careers as part of the solution.
This undermines the Museum's role as a trusted public institution and denies students access to clear, evidence-based climate science. Accurate education is essential if young people are to understand and navigate the world they're inheriting.
Join the call for Queensland Museum to end fossil fuel sponsorships and replace misleading materials with resources grounded in independent science.
