QCC Volunteers at National Tree Day

Join other QCC volunteers at a National Tree Day event at Oxley Creek Common. An opportunity to connect up to other volunteers, have fun and plant some trees. We will also have a bit of a picnic afterwards to get to know each other a bit more.

This event isn't connected to any campaigns, the QCC Volunteer Support Team thought it was time we had a social event with the added benefit of getting our hands dirty, so all volunteers are welcome. 

This is a public event hosted by the Oxley Creek Catchment Association and Planet Ark. Please RSVP for we can confirm numbers with the organisers.  

DIRECTIONS

We are hosting a tree planting at Oxley Creek Common, Sherwood Road, Rocklea. Volunteers are to meet at the Red Shed, adjacent to the car park, and will then be directed to the planting site (approximately 500 m up the walking track).

VOLUNTEER INFORMATION

Please bring along a hat and water bottle. We recommend that volunteers where sun-safe clothing and enclosed shoes. Sunscreen, gloves and planting equipment will be provided, however participants are welcome to bring their own. This event is family friendly, however all children must be supervised by a parent or guardian.
