🚵♀️🚵🚵♂️ Come and join us at a stall at the Chicks in the Sticks friendly mountain bike race! 🚵♀️🚵🚵♂️
Our friends at RATS Cycling Club have designed this fun mountain bike race with costumes, colour and joy in mind. The RATS community is involved in advocacy, trail care and social rides, as well as the racing. Their ethos of protecting the conservation areas they ride in fits well with the Protect Beautiful Queensland's alliance drive to get more people out into nature, exploring, loving and respecting it. Come along to our stall at the Chicks in the Sticks race and chat to the riders about how much they love the nature they get to ride in and why we should have more protected areas to enjoy and take care of.
If you can spare an hour, we would love for you to come and help us spread the word about the Protect Beautiful Queensland (PBQ) campaign at our stall there! Join other nature lovers to build awareness and support for doubling the amount of protected areas in Queensland by 2030 for us all to enjoy, and for our beautiful native species, like koalas, greater gliders and glossy black-cockatoos to thrive in!
If you are new to this kind of thing, no worries! We will show you the ropes and there will be staff and/or other experienced volunteers there at all times. It's easy and fun! We'll also be handing out some cool freebies as a reward for those who engage with our campaign.
