Join us for a fun morning catch up and submission party. 🥳
Meet other local volunteers on the northside, share ideas and discuss opportunities for building support for protecting nature in your community. New and existing volunteers welcome.
This catch up will also be a submission party for 1% for nature. Did you know that nature gets less than 0.1% of the federal budget? That’s nowhere near enough to protect our landscapes, wildlife, and way of life for future generations. But just 1% of the federal budget could go a long way in achieving labor commitments to protect 30% of Australia by 2030 while also ensuring no new extinctions.
Pre-budget submissions are open from mid November and anyone can submit a short submission letting the government know what you expect them to invest in. Come along to learn more about what it would mean for the government to invest in 1% for nature get all they help you need to put together a simple but powerful pre-budget submission.
Bring along some morning tea to share as well as your laptop or pen and paper. This is being hosted at Laura's (QCC Volunteer) house in Kedron (QCC volunteer), please RSVP to ensure we send you the address.
