We're getting Wild! The Redcliffe Markets and QCC are joining together to host a special wildlife show with Martin Fingland from Geckoes Wildlife.
Join us for a fun day of wildlife encounters, with reptiles, birds and maybe even some mammals like 'Bumpy' the Wombat. There'll also be games and giveaways, learning about rare and threatened wildlife, what's happening to the places we love and what can be done to help protect them.
Martin has many years of experience in species conservation and will provide close-up and tactile wildlife experience with entertaining insight highlighting their current conservation statuses. Our Nature Campaigner, Natalie Frost, an ecologist with over 10 years experience will share insight around the state of nature in Queensland and actions needed to secure their futures.
Our rare and special guests you may get up close and personal with include:
- 'Bumpy' the Tasmanian Wombat
- Mary River Turtle
- Squirrel Glider
- Tawny frogmouth
- Reptiles like Carpet Python, Freshwater Crocodile, Shingleback Lizard and many others
