Matt Prisk / Nature Organiser

Matt's role within the Queensland Conservation Council is Nature Organiser, where he is responsible for engaging volunteers and supporters around the Stand Up For Nature and Protect Beautiful Queensland campaigns, as well as ongoing volunteer support and empowerment.

Matt has worked in sectors as diverse as agriculture, construction and high school education and began campaigning voluntarily for nature and the climate during his studies in environmental science in 2023. Upon finishing his degree, Matt worked on the federal election campaign in 2025 as a Field Organiser, engaging Brisbane residents to take action for the climate.

Matt is originally from Cornwall in the UK and has lived in Australia for 6 years, with 4 years spent in Queensland. In his spare time, Matt loves running and spending time in forests, mountains and by the coast.
