The Federal Opposition is proposing to build two large nuclear reactors in Queensland at Tarong and Callide. Nuclear reactors requires a significant amount of water to operate safely and produce waste that remains radioactive for thousands of years.

Join our webinar to listen and have a discussion about the local implications of building nuclear reactors at Tarong and Callide, with a special focus on water and waste.

At the webinar you’ll hear from speakers Dave Sweeney, distinguished campaigner at the Australian Conservation Foundation, and Nigel Parratt, QCC’s water policy expert. You’ll also have a chance to have your questions answered.

RSVP for the link to join this online discussion on July 30th at 6pm.
