Letter writing is an important tool for all activists and can be utilised year wide - outside of specific campaigns and is a great way to keep Climate Action at the forefront of public discussion.

Join us on the 2nd of December to learn how to write letters to the editor with tips and tricks on how to get them published and also how to apply this same technique to contribute to Talk-Back Radio discussions.

Our fabulous and well regarded volunteer, Jane Fry, will be running this work shop, supported by Kat Fry of Queensland Conservations Council's, Climate Action Now campaign.

Jane is a retired secondary English teacher who worked as a union rep for years in high schools. During that time she attended many workshops run by journalists and has meant that Jane is a regular contributor to newspapers "Letters to the Editor" as well as local and national Talk-Back radio. She has worked in a variety of ways to bring issues to the forefront with letter writing to her Federal MP as well as letters to newspapers and other publications.  Jane has a range of ideas and techniques on how to write so that Editors select your letter to be published. This workshop is great for beginners but also great for those who just want to sharpen their skills. You're invited to also bring along your own letters and Jane will be happy to proof-read and offer suggestions.

RSVP is essential as snacks and cold drinks will be provided*.

This is an all-ages event.
