We are in a critical 6-12 months for the future of Queensland Koala's
- Right now, the Crisafulli State Government are reviewing the SEQ Koala Conservation Strategy; and
- Nationally, negotiations are recommencing for once-in-a-generation reform to our federal environmental laws - the EPBC Act.
We know our koalas are in decline across SEQ and beyond. We are facing an imminent future of functional extinction if we don't stop the destruction of habitat and other threats to these iconic animals.
The only way we can get a better outcome, is if we work together as a powerful voice for our koalas, and all the other threatened species at risk in their habitats.
Conservation and community organisations from across Queensland are welcome to join us for this in person workshop.
Co-hosted by QCC, GECKO, SCEC and DDEC
