Join our First Nations mailing list

This space is just for Mob.

There's so much strength in First Nations connections, especially in terms of caring for Country and culture for future generations. That's why building strong, respectful relationships is at the heart of QCC’s approach to working with First Nations people.

Whether you're living on your Country, away from home, or have ties to so-called "Queensland" through family or your work, we want to make more space for us to connect and support each other in the movement for a good future in a healthy environment.

We’re building a First Nations-only email list so we can better understand who is in our network and how we can support Traditional Owners. This is about strengthening connections, working more inclusively, and making sure First Nations people are given the opportunity to guide our work to protect and care for Country. So, if we have concerns about something happening on your Country or in your community, such as a development, environmental damage, or a climate-related issue, I’ll be able to get in touch.

The goal is to offer support where we can, seek your guidance, and make sure QCC responds in a way that is respectful and led by your voice as sovereign custodians because we understand that any work to protect land, water, and climate must centre First Nations knowledge, rights, and stewardship. And so this is a step in making sure we have the best opportunities to do that.

And just so you know, you don't have to answer every question if you're not comfortable. Share what feels right for you. Your info will be respected and kept safe, used only for the purpose of making connections with the purpose of keeping Country safe.

If you're new here: signing up will also mean you will receive QCC's general emails.

In the meantime, thanks for being deadly and standing up for Country!
