Protect our native wildlife - end deforestation

UPDATE - Petition delivered to Premier Miles! In May 2024 we delivered the petition to Premier Miles, thanks to over 15,000 people who have signed.

Koalas, Greater Gliders, Northern Quolls and other native wildlife are under threat from mass habitat destruction in Queensland.

Now is the time to increase pressure on Premier Miles to act NOW.

According to an expert report commissioned by the Queensland Conservation Council, 2.1 million hectares of woody vegetation was cleared over a 5 year period. The current system is not working.

Premier Miles and Labor MPs are deciding what to do about deforestation. Habitat destruction will continue at alarming rates if the right incentives and nature law loopholes are not addressed. If they create the right signals, they can reward good actions that protect our forests and native wildlife.

It’s going to depend on the size and scale of the public response to these shocking figures which is why we need you to show your support for native wildlife protection by signing the petition today.
