Adopt a Yakka Skink

Adopt a Yakka Skink

A vulnerable Brigalow Belt species at risk of disappearing

The Yakka skink is found only in Queensland’s Brigalow Belt. These burrowing reptiles depend on intact woodland and native vegetation, yet much of their habitat has been cleared or degraded over time. Their numbers are falling, and they now face a very real risk of disappearing.

When you symbolically adopt a Yakka skink, you help protect the ecosystems that sustain them. Your support allows us to advocate for stronger environmental protection, challenge harmful development, and help ensure threatened species like the Yakka skink remain part of Queensland’s natural future.
