Week of Action Events

Did you know 77% of people want to see the creation of more national parks in Queensland? Just like you the majority of Queenslanders love national parks and other protected areas for their natural beauty, for a place to relax, connect to Country and of course the critical role they play in protecting our unique plants and wildlife.

Now is the time for action! We need to stand together and actively demonstrate broad and diverse support for doubling Queensland's protected areas. By doing this our elected representatives will hear us loud and clear, protecting beautiful Queensland is a priority and they must act now.

Throughout the week of action community groups and passionate individuals are taking part by bringing people together for nature focused events or including Protect Beautiful Queensland in existing events. These events are Protect Beautiful Queensland events because they are, nature focused, happening between the 20th - 28th of April, include discussion about why protected areas are important and participant will be emailing a photo of themselves with the sign ‘Protect Beautiful Qld because..’ off to their MP and sharing it on our MP. Sign up here to include your event in the Protect Beautiful Queensland week of action.
