Queensland Conservation Council is the state’s peak non-government environment group. We are a non-profit incorporated association with no political affiliations.
Our mission is to protect the environment, wildlife and landscapes, conserve our precious natural resources and make Queensland businesses and communities more sustainable.
We have a membership of almost 60 member groups who we consult and coordinate with. Our members are environment groups throughout Queensland, linked through a simple structure consisting of an elected governing council, specialised staff and dedicated volunteers.
We achieve our goals by advocating with government, engaging with the community and informing through the media. We apply the latest scientific research to develop policies. We monitor progress and rate the performance of governments, their programs, and companies, holding them accountable to their commitments to the environment.
