Despite being approached at the start of the election and followed up since, One Nation has chosen not to respond to our conservation priorities.
While there have been some confusing and contradictory comments made in the media by different ON spokespeople, it seems clear the party policy on land clearing is one of opposing stronger laws.
One Nation's position on land clearing can be read here.
On other priority conservation issues, we are aware that ON supports new coal fired power in Queensland, supports the Adani mine, questions climate change, and opposes a raft of environmental protections and stronger legislation. These are all contrary to the positions of QCC and its conservation priorities.
